What is an MLM Binary Plan?

What is an MLM Binary Plan?
Usually the term “MLM Binary Plan” comes up when you first get started in network marketing.
You’re usually at a point were you have checked everything out about a company and you’re almost ready to start your MLM business. But when your sponsor starts talking about compensation the phrase “MLM binary” comes up and, though you try to look intelligent, you have no idea what it means.
You are not alone. MLM compensation plans are some of the hardest things on the planet to comprehend, unless you have a degree in arithmetic.
But happily, most mlm binary programs are quite easy to comprehend after you sit down and crunch the numbers. A binary compensation plan is not the only kind of compensation plan a company might use, but it is one of the more popular structures in use today.
So What’s an MLM Binary Plan?
You probably know that the word binary means “two”. So in an MLM Binary plan everything is comprised of two’s. When you start any new MLM business, you will be working to find other folks who are looking to join an opportunity. In an MLM binary, you’re first goal is to go out and find two people who want to join you in the business.
You sign these new people up and they become your “front line”. In MLM compensation plan terms, they become your “left leg” and your “right leg”. Because this is an MLM binary system, those two can then go out and recruit two more people each to their personal front lines.
No more than two. No less than two.
An Example of Building an MLM Binary Organization
Let’s illustrate this with an example. Suppose you have sponsored two people into your front line. Let’s call them Dick Smith and Jane Jones. If they follow the plan, Dick and Jane can then go out and sponsor two more people each to start. Their two people now go out and find two. Those others find two, and so it goes. The belief is that by simple duplication, everyone gets rich and achieves their goals!
If only it were that easy! MLM is not a lottery ticket!
Sadly, Dick and Jane may not be particularly effective at Multi-level and network marketing. So, let’s suppose that they aren’t all that good at finding people to join.
Now it’s up to you to go and find some new people to replace them (especially if your goal is to make some serious money with the company).
The challenge with an MLM binary plan is that you can’t substitute Dick and Jane with your new recruits. Your new recruits usually must both be placed under/below either Dick or Jane, or, in some plans, be placed as one recruit under each. It’s up to you as to who goes where, but they can’t be front-line to you.
MLM Binary Spillover
MLM Binary spillover is a term that applies when you personally sponsor more people beyond the first two. In our example, your two additional recruits went into the downlines of Dick and Jane. That is simply what binary spillover means. You help your downline build their business by giving them the first people in their downline.
This is one of the huge advantages of the MLM binary plan. If you have an active upline sponsor, this kind of spillover action is going to be happening all the time and may help you to build your side of the business.
Of course, you can’t stop with just two or four recruits. You still have to continue to sponsor and recruit people and keep balancing the two legs of the plan with the right people if you want to achieve any kind of lasting income.
Furthermore, most MLM binary plans only pay a commission when the product volumes balance between the two legs. If there is one leg that’s “shorter” than the other, you get paid on the shorter leg up to the point where it matches the longer leg.
In more practical terms, you could have one downline leg that grows to have more people than the population of Russia. But if your shorter leg only has 10 people in it, you’ll only be paid up to those 10.
So, it behooves you to keep sponsoring people, looking for more superstars to balance out your organization.
Is an MLM Binary The Best Plan?
It’s not a matter of an MLM binary being the right compensation plan. If anybody has made cash through an mlm binary program ( and many have ) then it’s not the comp plan that’s in question.
The real question is, how are you going to market your business to keep finding people to sponsor and build your downline so you can grow both legs of the compensation structure?
You must have an organized plan of action to sell your company’s products and opportunity to others in order to build your business.
At this point you might also be wondering if you should be using an online lead generation system and learning “attraction marketing” so as to build your business faster and find more people.
I recommend that you should take a serious look at how to generate leads online, especially if you want to persuade people you are the upline leader they are looking for to help them reach their dreams and goals.
MLM Binary Plans — A Wrap Up
To summarize, there are some great things and not-so-great things about MLM binary plans. On the plus side, an active upline can help you build a successful organization. On the downside, you only get paid on your shortest leg. However, lots of people make money in MLM binaries, so they do work well.
So the question is not whether the compensation plan is any good. The question is, how will you keep finding people to talk to so that you keep building both legs of your organization? One way is to use the internet for lead generation. If you want to know more how that might work, take a look at MLMLeadSystemPro.
