There Is No Magic Potion for Success In Network Marketing
Let’s just get this out of the way up front, if you want to have success in network marketing you will have to be dedicated, put in consistent work and understand some important philosophies about business. That’s the truth, plain and simple.
Network marketing is a business. If you’re serious about success in network marketing, it’s your job. Not a job in the tradition 9 to 5 sense, but still a job in which you get paid for doing work. It isn’t something you just do when you feel like it, unless you really just want a hobby income and not financial independence. You must set your ambitions high and work employed toward those goals.
But do you even understand what your goals are?
Success in Network Marketing Means Having Goals
The majority of people go from day to day never understanding what their ultimate goals are. In fact, most people spend more time planning a 2-week vacation than they do in planning their lives.
A while back, there was a survey done of college students. They were asked if they had any specific, written goals for their future. Some students had no goals, some had vague goals in their head, and only three (3) percent had written down specific goals for their lives.
Ten years later, the same students were surveyed again. Those students who were definite about their goals ten years before (the three percent) had become far more successful and richer than all the others combined who were still rambling around without definite goals.
How to Set Goals for Success In Network Marketing

Start your goal setting by writing down what you want in your life. Even if you’re 65 years old! Success in network marketing can happen to anyone of any age. Even if you’re “older”, you might be very rich and successful in just a few years, and be able to revel in a long and wealthy retirement.
Write down the things you want to have and the things you want to do for yourself and for other people. Sometimes your strongest motivations will come out of what you want to achieve for others.
Next, organize the goals in a suitable priority for yourself. Write down your goals on paper, or in a computer and print them out. Then, then hang them in an visible place so that you can see them.
Now get organized. Decide what quantity of your time every week you can dedicate to your network marketing business, and be pragmatic! Even though you may have a full-time job, being organized and dedicated will help you when you return home and choose to work on your business, and not watch the television.
You don’t have to become a recluse and eliminate your social life, just dedicate certain hours to working on your business. Keep looking at your goals. If you can only work on your network marketing business 2 hours each night, ensure you do, and get into the consistent habit.
The First Steps to Success In Network Marketing
As part of your goal setting, make it a goal of yours to learn all the success steps of building your business. You must follow definite steps when you start your network marketing business and those steps are a part of a system. Following a system is exceedingly important, and finding the proper system that will work for you is vital to achieving success in network marketing.
Key areas in the steps to success include learning the following:
1. How to find people to talk to (how to generate leads)
2. How to invite people to look at your business
3. How to present your business
4. How to close on a decision
5. How to train a new person
In the beginning, resist the temptation to purchase any all of the so-called “guru courses” that you can find. You need to really do your due diligence because some of these “gurus” are full of theory, but have not done network marketing in practice.
Instead, look for industry leaders and learn from successful network marketers who know what they’re talking about and have earned significant incomes. A great question to ask is “are you building a business now?”
One major goal you should set for success in network marketing is to achieve mastery in the art and science of generating leads, both online and offline. This is what is often known as mastering “attraction marketing”. Leads are the key. Always remember: your goal is to build a business and not just a downline.
Consider looking at a tool or system that can help you create as many leads as you need, make thousands of dollars in commissions, and also sign up an active downline, by simply promoting one giant online attraction marketing funnel.
