What You Ought to Know About Facebook Marketing Strategies
What You Ought to Know About Facebook Marketing Strategies
Many businesses and people are focusing have begun to focus their attention on Facebook marketing strategies as a way to gain attention for their marketing and advertising campaigns. It’s a smart idea, especially when you consider that over 700 million people worldwide use Facebook.
Studies have shown that regular Facebook users spend 20-30 minutes on the site every day. So, if you haven’t found a way to tap into this market correctly, here are some Facebook marketing strategies to look into closer.
The Best Of All Facebook Marketing Strategies
When it comes right down to it, Facebook is a place to build relationships. It’s not a place to “sell”. It’s not a place to try to trick people into joining your company or opportunity. It’s a place to reconnect with people and start conversations. Of course, if you care about people, good conversations will lead to your friends revealing their hopes, dreams and fears.
Your network marketing opportunity might be a solution to helping them achieve their hopes and dreams, or eliminate some of their fears. However, you have to know what they are first! So, the first and best of all Facebook marketing strategies is to use the site to build relationships.
Make sure you have a complete Facebook profile. Include all the information about your high school, college, favorite activities, and more. Be as complete as you can because Facebook will make more recommendations of people for you to connect with.
Avoid These Facebook Marketing Strategies
When marketing on Facebook, never post anything about your opportunity on your wall. You can mention what you’re doing in a vague way, but avoid outright solicitations. In other words, it’s not attractive to post a message on your wall (or any of your friends walls) stating “Get in now! Lots of opportunity to make big money! Come join my team!” People will unfriend you, and ban you quicker than you have thought possible.
It’s much more effective to write something like “Got together with some great people tonight and learned some new money-making ideas. Great investment of my time!”
Now, if someone makes a comment about it that asks a question such as “Where did you go?”, you follow up privately.

Note: Whether you post your content on your personal Facebook profile, or you create a Fan Page and post your content there, the idea is the same. Concentrate your Facebook marketing strategies on building relationships.
The Second Best Facebook Marketing Strategies
What I write below might sound like a contradiction, but earlier I wrote that Facebook is not a place to “sell”. To be clear, what I meant is that your personal profile (and/or Fan Page) is not a place to sell your products or your opportunity. However, Facebook is an excellent marketplace to place advertisements that promote a product or service.
In the world of Facebook marketing strategies, this type of advertising and promotion is called “Pay Per Click” advertising, or Facebook PPC. Whenever you’re in Facebook, pay attention to the little ads that how up on the right side of the screen. Those are examples of Facebook PPC in action.
You’re seeing those ads because some advertiser was targeting their ad to appear on the profiles and pages of people who meet certain demographic criteria, and you met the criteria. Perhaps you were in the geography they were targeting. Or perhaps you have “liked” the Fan Page of a particular person, band, author or speaker and the advertiser was targeting those fans, of which you’re one.
Facebook PPC is the second best of the Facebook marketing strategies because, for a price, you can fine tune how and when your advertisement appears, keep your advertising costs affordable, and reach a wide diversity of people.
Facebook PPC vs Relationship Building
Keep in mind that Facebook PPC is paid advertising. So, here’s it’s not really about building relationships. It’s about marketing a product or service or offer to a group of people and seeing who buys. The advertiser simply pays for clicks, meaning he or she pays every time someone clicks the Facebook ad. If their campaign is effective, enough people will buy the product or service to offset the cost of the paid advertising.

Facebook Marketing Strategies: Conclusion
So what’s the best way to use Facebook to grow your network marketing business? On the one hand, you have the Facebook marketing strategies of using Facebook to build relationships and friendships and quietly sharing your network marketing business. That’s a great FREE way to generate leads.
On the other hand, you can open a Facebook advertising account and simply place small ads all over Facebook, hoping to bring in leads to a capture page, so you can either provide value or “sell” someone your products, services or opportunity.
There is no “right” answer here. It depends on your personal preference and how much money you have. If you have no money, then building relationships is the way to go. If you have some money (such as $10 per day), then perhaps Facebook PPC is the better of these two Facebook marketing strategies for you.
Either way, learn how to use Facebook correctly and you’ll soon find it to be a great way to reconnect with people and generate more leads for your business.
